Taking care of our natural resources means understanding that we are surrounded by energy wealth.”

Hi, I’m Minerva Hernández, but you can call me Generando Bioconciencia. I'm a teacher by vocation, an electronic engineer, a specialist in semiconductors and the environment, with a master's degree in energy efficiency and renewable energies, among other degrees I pursued out of love for science and technology.

My journey—both personal and professional—has allowed me to broaden my perspective on the current energy situation and its needs, especially in my country: Mexico. It has also shown me how important knowledge is for human beings.

Because yes, knowledge is power, and understanding that we as a society can adopt small habits and take advantage of new technologies is key to transforming our energy future.

That's how my science and technology communication project on social media was born: Generando Bioconciencia. What started as a space to share facts and ideas became a platform for social and environmental activism.Today, this project complements its original mission with community initiatives, awareness campaigns, and innovative proposals—always aiming to bring science closer to society in a clear, relatable, and practical way.

One of my personal goals is to share knowledge through organic content with simple words—so simple that a 5-year-old child or my 80-year-old grandmother can easily understand, and maybe even enjoy it.We often hear the term renewable energies and think it's something complex, something we’ll never understand, but let me debunk those myths:

  • Are renewable energies complex? Yes, because behind them there’s research, calculations, engineering, science.

  • Could you never understand them? No. I firmly believe that all knowledge can be shared in a simple, practical, and even fun way.

“If you want to master a topic, teach it,” a professor once told me during my master's. And it's fascinating to see how much you learn when you teach.

So, do you know what renewable energies are? How they work? Where they are found?

Let me explain:

Renewable energies are those that come from nature and can be used again and again without being depleted. The sun, the wind, water, biomass, and even the heat from the earth are inexhaustible sources that, with the help of technology, can be transformed into electricity—like the one you use at home to turn on a light, charge your phone, or watch TV.

What’s special about these sources is that they don’t run out and they protect the planet, because—unlike fossil fuels like oil or coal—they don’t emit large amounts of polluting gases that harm our atmosphere and accelerate climate change.

Beyond large-scale projects, there is also a personal energy transition: one that starts at home, at school, in our communities.Because change doesn’t only happen on a macro scale with giant turbines or massive solar plants; it also happens when we turn off a light we don’t need, when we use more sustainable transport, when we teach a child to value the energy that comes into their home.

That’s where the true power of education and awareness begins: when we realize that the energy transition isn’t just a topic for engineers or scientists, but for all of us as citizens of this planet.

So talking about renewable energy isn’t talking about a distant future or unreachable technology; it’s talking about our present, about the decisions we make every day, and how those small actions contribute to global change.

Energy is everywhere: in the light coming through your window, in the wind rustling the leaves, in the water flowing through a river. And the most wonderful thing is that by taking care of the energy around us, we also take care of ourselves, our families, and future generations.

Because energy is not only in machines or wires—it’s also in our actions, in our choices, and in our willingness to build a cleaner and fairer world.

So today I invite you to be part of this personal energy transition. To awaken your awareness, switch off what you don’t need, share knowledge, and become a generator of bioconciencia.

Remember: change starts with you—with small actions that, when multiplied, have the power to transform the planet.

Thank you for being part of the change.

See you
